Those who want to witness the vibrant Rajasthani culture, can plan a Jaipur monsoon trip to the state capital. During the aforementioned season, the weather in the city is hot, but not really scorching, which makes it perfect for such a trip. Monsoon is also the season when the land here comes alive with colourful vegetation as the rains provide the much-needed supply of water. Jaipur is replete with history and traditions, and has loads of famous tourist attractions for you to see. If you want some quiet time away from the hustle-bustle of this raging city, there are a number of hotels tucked away in the lap of nature.
For the best of experiences, you must stay at the Tree House Jaipur, which is a pristine resort. It is exactly what it sounds like, with tree houses being the underlying theme and concept of the establishment. Situated high up from the ground, around and on trees, these houses are a perfect combination of nature and comfort. Made entirely of wood, with branches of the trees running through them, they make romantic monsoon getaways. While on one hand, these nests play host to numerous species of birds, on the other, they are equipped with all modern amenities. All houses feature a perfect intermingling of warm, earthy décor and bright lighting. In every tree house, you will find air-conditioning, beverage makers, mini-bars, attached bathrooms, Wi-Fi access, TVs with satellite connections, toiletries and electronic safe deposit boxes. Each of these nests have large open balconies and their own private gardens.
While here with this Jaipur monsoon trip package, you may enjoy a wide array of recreational activities, such as indoor games, archery, badminton, volleyball, birdwatching and gymnasium facilities. You may also relax and unwind below the tree houses in lush gardens, surrounded by dense vegetation. The resort also has a swimming pool, outdoor movie screening facility, tennis courts, spa and billiards room, and also arranges for golf, camel rides and jungle safaris. There is even a nature shop on-site that has paintings and handicrafts for you to buy. The dining and wining options here range from Machaan, which is the multi-cuisine tree house restaurant, and the well-stocked Peacock Bar.
In 1883 Jaipur was painted pink in order to honour Prince Albert during his visit to India and ever since it has been popularly known as the Pink City. Jaipur is such a perfect mix of new and old architecture, with its rugged terrain, old forts and modern buildings. It is said to have been built and designed according to the Shilpa Shastra.
The first stop we make in the city is the very popular and one of the most photographed monuments in the world – Hawa Mahal. The day is spent savoring the different tastes, smells and flavors of the city. From the delectable kachoris and sweets to the exquisite jewelry and dresses, there is something for everyone!
We have our breakfast and leave for Bikaner! Check in to the hotel and rest awhile before heading out for a city tour. We visit the famous sandstone fort at Junagarh and National Camel Breeding farm, followed by shopping! Overnight stay at hotel.
This has got to be the most exciting day of the trip as you get to witness and be a part of the very famous Jaisalmer Desert Festival. You are in the heart of Thar Desert, experiencing the local culture in the form of dance, music, art and adventure. Watching the sun set and the moon rise with miles of nothingness around you is an experience so surreal that it’ll always be a part of your fondest travel memories.
There is a lot here to keep you entertained.
The next on our travel menu is one of the most sought after travel destinations in the country – Jaisalmer! By lunch time we reach the outskirts of the city and stop to marvel at the haunting views of the cluster of cenotaphs. Jaisalmer is dotted with many Havelis, each more beautiful than the other, seeped in history! We visit the Patwaon Ki Haveli that was built during the first half of the 19th century by the 5 sons of Gumanchand. It is made of red sandstones and boasts detailed fret works like ornate jaalis (net), facades and jharokhas (vantage points) that open in to the courtyard or the main street. After that we go to the Jaisalmer Fort and end the day soaking in the beauty of the sunset sitting on the banks of Gadisar Lake.
This day starts early and post breakfast we head out to explore another fascinating destination – Jodhpur. Known as the Blue City and Sun City, this place enjoys temperate climate throughout the year.
