Kumbhalgarh Fort considered as the second most important fort of Rajasthan, is also known as the Great Wall of India. The thick wall encompassing the fort stretches around 36 kms and is wide enough to take eight horses abreast. Trek from Kumbhalgarh into thick forest and if you get lucky you might spot some antelopes and wild boars. You will be thrilled to pass through old lone Tribal villages.

Pass through Garasiya Tirbal villages and Shepherd villages and see the core rural areas of Rajasthan. See the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple which is magnificently carved with marble. Leopard Safari here will be a great adventure experience. Bera village and surroundings is one of largest natural habitat for spotting Leopards. Trek 8 kms to visit the famous Rupan mata temple.

A day-by-day plan to guide your journey.

  • DAY 01


    Today we drive from Jodhpur/Udaipur to Kumbhalgarh. After arriving there, we straightaway go to the hotel and check-in. in the evening at around 4 PM we go and see the Majestic Kumbhalgarh Fort. Claimed to be the largest fortification in the world only second to The Great Wall Of China. After a couple of hours at the fort we return to our Hotel for diinner and overnight stay.

  • DAY 02


    We start our first trek from Kumbhalgarh. It is a downhill trek which passes through a good forest cover and if lucky enough we might spot some antelopes & wild boars. We can also see some deer in a protected enclosure. But we are sure to spot a good variety of various bird species. We will also pass through the lone Tribal Village in the sanctuary area. It is a village of The Bhil Tribe.

    We stop at a small water reservoir famously called The Crocodile Lake or Thandi Beri in local language. As the name suggests, this place offers a good chance to spot a couple of crocodiles sunbathing on the reservoir wall. We continue the last leg of our trek to our finishing point, the Muchala Mahavir Jain Temple where we see a lot of black faced monkeys loitering around. After that we check-in to our Hotel.

    We have lunch at the Hotel and after some rest we take a stroll in the nearby Garasiya Tribal Hamlets where we have our evening tea & cookies at a carefully chosen spot. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

  • DAY 03


    Today after breakfast we drive from Ghanerao to Ranakpur and then start the trek from here to Mithri Dam. We will be passing through some Garasiya Tribe settlements and Shepherd villages to reach Mithri Dam - a water reservoir, where we will have our lunch and then, we will arrive at our campsite. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

  • DAY 04


    Today early morning we will do the Morning Safari. Later we will return to the camp for breakfast. We spend the rest of the day at leisure and go for another safari in the afternoon. In the evening, one can choose to take a walk in a nearby Raika (Shepherds) hamlet. This area is still untouched by tourism and modern lifestyle. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

  • DAY 05


    Today morning, after breakfast, we start the trek to Rupan Mata (mother goddess) temple. It is an 8 kms trek approximately. After arrival, we rest our legs a bit and drive to Udaipur (2.5 hrs.)/Jodhpur (3 hrs.)
